Fees
Fees with effect from September 2009
1. Before Admission
- Registration Fee £75
- Acceptance Deposit £600 (£2,000 for Overseas Pupils)
2. School Fees (per term)
- Boarding Pupils £8,500
- Day Pupils £6,250
- Night rate £26
3. Music Fees
- Ten lessons of 40 minutes duration £230
- In addition there are charges for the hire of musical instruments of £43 per term
- Percussion is charged at the rate of £21 per term
4. English as a Foreign Language
- Course of a term’s extra curricular EFL lessons:
- Year 9-11 £615
- Sixth Form £615
- Individual lessons will be charged separately at the rate of £30
5. Learning Support (per term)
Pupils with learning difficulties may be offered tuition on the following basis:
- Course of 1-3 solo lessons per week £270
- Course of 1-3 group lessons per week £135
6. CCF Subscription (per term) £48
7. School Bus (for day pupils) per term £180
Notes:
a) The Standard Terms and Conditions of Sedbergh School, in particular clause 4(b), refer to the exclusion of a pupil at any time where fees are unpaid. Such exclusion may be intimated to apply at either half term or the end of the term in which the fees are unpaid. A pupil will be deemed withdrawn without notice 29 days after exclusion.
b) School and Music Fees are payable on or before the first day of term. Interest will be charged on overdue accounts in accordance with the Standard Terms and Conditions.
c) School Fees cover Board, residence, tuition and laundry charges, and most text books.
d) All fees are subject to periodic increase in accordance with the Standard Terms and Conditions.
e) The Acceptance Deposit will be credited to a pupil’s final account on leaving.
f) Fees in lieu of notice are payable at the start of the term to which they relate. Cheques should be made payable to Sedbergh School and sent to the School’s Bankers:
