The Foundation
Sedbergh School Foundation was established in 2001 to provide long-term financial support for the School's development plans.
The Foundation's primary objective is to support projects that cannot
be funded through the regular fee income and it aims to draw support from
Old Sedberghians, parents and friends as well as external Trusts and funding
sources.
Governance and organisation
The Foundation is a separate
charity, registered number 529904, with its own independent board of Trustees
that meets four times a year. It
has a full-time Director and
is based in "The Shack" on the School campus.
A Finance and Governance
Sub-Committee meets twice a year to review appeals progress and to ensure
that the charity is meeting its legal requirements.
