Modern Languages
Studying a Modern Foreign Language is a useful investment in the future. Fluency and experience can assist a career in a number of areas and it is possible to continue any of these three languages at university as a subsidiary subject to other degree disciplines.
The department is located in a suite of five rooms which was fully refurbished in 2003 to create a supportive learning environment; each is equipped with ICT facilities and data projection, as well as listening and video playback equipment. Resources are stored in a separate central room in which our Assistants also work, and which also provides private study space for our Sixth From students.
There are four teachers in the department, each taking two languages from French, German and Spanish.
