VACANCY – HEAD OF LEARNING SUPPORT

Full-time, permanent
For 1st September 2017

Located in the stunning scenery of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and on the doorstep of the Lake District, Sedbergh is a thriving Boarding School which boasts outstanding facilities and an exceptional Common Room. 

Sedbergh has a national reputation in a variety of arenas.  We are growing in numbers thanks to the calibre and commitment of our staff; we are now seeking a Head of Learning Support to join our vibrant School, where opportunities abound for pupils and staff alike. 

The successful candidate will have proven experience of outstanding Special Educational Needs teaching and demonstrate strong empathic and interpersonal skills, coupled with a genuine interest in young people.

VACANCY – SENIOR HOUSE CHEF

Sedbergh School are currently seeking a Senior House Chef to work within the Boarding Houses in the School. Very much a valued and appreciated part of each team, the ideal candidate would be confident leading a team and overseeing the provision of varied and healthy meals for pupils and staff in the Boarding House with additional work at Sedbergh Summer School.

Working for Sedbergh School means working within the school community as part of a close-knit team within the Hospitality Department. We are looking to employ enthusiastic people who would like a varied working environment with the opportunity to develop their careers further through NVQ or other qualifications with a goal for some to develop as senior managers.

The proximity to the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and the area around Morecambe Bay offers the outdoors enthusiast a wide range of walking, fishing, sailing, climbing, caving and other outdoor pursuits all within easy reach. For those with a desire to get away occasionally the M6 motorway and the West Coast railway are both a short distance away for travel North or South while other routes make West Yorkshire and the North East easy to reach.

VACANCY – CHEF MANAGER/EXECUTIVE CHEF

Sedbergh School are seeking additional motivated, enthusiastic individuals to join our Hospitality Team.  The following positions are currently available:

- Chefs: £20,405 per annum, full time permanent position, 52 weeks per year contract (job share opportunities available)

- Catering Assistant (Various shifts): £7.42 per hour
