OS, Abbie Scott (R09-11) was appointed captain of the England Women’s rugby team for their recent win over the USA.
Inspired by an Old Sedberghian’s talk last year, Imogen Boddy (R), 17, has set herself a gruelling 24 hour tri-challenge which she plans to do on 29th June this year – swimming 10k from the southern tip of Lake Windermere, then running the course of the Windermere marathon, and then cycling 25 miles back to Sedbergh.
Alice Hollings (R, Year 10), returns to School this term as Cumbria U14 County Champion for Tennis. Entering the competition as no.3 seed, Alice beat the no.1 seed, keeping a cool head and also winning at Doubles, with both matches going to tie-breaks.
Robertson House won House Dinner Debate for the fourth time this year, in the final of five rounds, which took place in the spectacular setting of the School Library on Friday evening. This highlight of the academic and inter-house calendar is a black tie event, with a three-course dinner.
