New Route for Top Science Applicants: Sedbergh Launches BTEC Agriculture

A new route to studying Veterinary Science, Engineering and Environmental Science is now open to Sixth Form pupils at Sedbergh School, Cumbria, following the announcement of a joint venture with Newton Rigg College in Penrith this week. The move comes as leading Educational thinkers call for a hybrid vision of academic routes into Higher Education.

Annual Academic Challenge

The annual Academic Challenge competition always excites considerable interest within the School and members of each House gather on the mezzanine floor of the School Library to see their champions doing academic battle on the floor below. Starter and Bonus questions are fielded and answered- usually correctly and quickly, though there is the occasional howler to punctuate the action and keep everybody entertained.

Shoot Day January 16th 2014

Thursday 16th January saw members of the shooting syndicate gather with excitement on an overcast day at School House for our final shoot syndicate day of the 2013-14 season. Once we had all arrived at the Shoot we were briefed by Shoot Captain George Parkinson (E) and were told the jobs we had to do for the day, and were reminded about being safe.

School House Lose in First Round

The School House boys felt two losses in the game on Monday, the first one was the mercurial figure of Rob Stevenson (named on the wing in the Rugby World team of the year).
