Sedbergh Junior School offers places on the basis of assessment for younger children and Entrance Exams are held for pupils aged 10-13. This popular prep school also offers a range of Scholarships and Awards.
Admission Arrangements
Children wishing to enter Sedbergh Junior School will normally spend a taster day with their Year group and be assessed by their subject teachers. If necessary, an assessment interview with reading, spelling and cognitive ability tests will also be given.
Pupils can start at any age from 4 to 13 although parents who are intending their child to move on to the Senior School should be aware that places are at a premium and an early entrance to Sedbergh Junior School could be beneficial.
A report will always be requested from the child’s current school.
