We were very pleased to recently welcome the Years 4, 5 and 6 girls from St Mary’s Primary School, Kirkby Lonsdale, for netball training. They joined together with our pupils for a fun skills session, followed by some friendly matches.
Over 60 girls came together in the Sports Hall and received training in shooting, defense and finding space on the court.
As well as competitive games fixtures, we also run training sessions in netball, hockey, athletics and swimming with schools in the local area. If you would be interested in taking part in these, please email me for more information.
Sedbergh is renowned for its top level achievement in a wide variety of sports, with boys and girls featuring prominently in national and international teams.
The foundation for this achievement is built at the Prep School.
Our recipe for success is simple. We play sport at least three days a week, and all pupils receive top class coaching at every level, with an emphasis on fun as well as achievement.
All girls at Sedbergh Prep School enjoy the opportunity to play representative sport, regardless of ability. They play netball and hockey in both the Michaelmas and Lent Terms and athletics and rounders in the Summer. They also compete in cross country running, cricket and swimming throughout the year.
