EASTER SUCCESS FOR TENNIS ACE JAMES!

James Griffin in Year 7 has spent most of the Easter holidays competing in both Manchester and Newcastle playing a staggering 30 matches including five in one day.

The end result of his effort was a 3rd place position in the Under 14 North of England Championships held in Manchester (James turned 12 in February) which warmed him up nicely for the Northumberland Open Grand Prix where James took both the Under 12 & Under 14 Regional titles playing the best tennis of his life.

Former National Coach and Professional Player David Shaw who coaches James  described his performance in the U12 finals as `simply outstanding’.

James is now ranked number 11 in Great Britain at Under 12 level and number 5 in Britain for boys born in 2004 (out of over 5000 boys who are regularly competing).
