GREAT BRITAIN CALL UP FOR TENNIS ACE JAMES

James Griffin in Year 8 was called up on Saturday into the Great Britain U13 National Training Squad for a 4 day intensive residential camp at The Lawn Tennis Association `s £40m flagship National Training Centre in Roehampton.

This is James`s first involvement in the GB setup and all GB teams are selected from players in the squad so is a breakthrough moment for James tennis career.

During the camp James has been put through a vigorous physical testing programme, had his diet completely controlled and hit rather a lot of tennis balls with video analysis of all shots. He worked intensively with U14 National Boys Coach Richard Plews and a whole host of support coaches/staff.

Richard was so impressed with James particularly his focus, work rate and physical scores that he wants James to now really start to increase his programme to see what he can achieve.
