James Griffin of Year 8 has had another successful school holiday on the tennis court.
He firstly competed in the Under 14 British Clay Court National Championships held in Halton, Buckinghamshire (James is still an U13) where the top 32 ranked boys in GB were competing against each other and he finished in a very respectable 9th place.
After that James played the best tennis of his life to win the City of Manchester Open Regional Tournament where he competed over two days playing 4 two hour matches to take the title, beating the British number 2 (2004 Boy) Sam Reeve 6/7 6/1 11/9 in a pulsating final.
