Bo makes England Hockey debut

Year 10 Hockey star Bo made her England debut at the weekend, helping England U16 defeat Ireland 1-0.

The match was a quiet affair, with a solitary goal enough for England to take the victory. In a match which was evenly battled out, the only difference between the two teams was a deflected goal just after half-time to ensure England secured the victory.

Bo was 1 of 32 players named in the England U16 NAGs (National Age Group) earlier this month. England Hockey state that “NAGs camps provide a great learning opportunity for Age Group players to get experience playing for their country whilst also looking at other factors in elite sport such as rest and nutrition”.

Bo is part of the U16 Girls’ Hockey side that today, travel down to Lee Valley Hockey Centre to take part in the National Finals. Sedbergh will play Headington School in their semi-final, whilst Repton School take on Surbiton High School in the other semi-final.
