1ST BARNARD CASTLE WON 48-0
On a very dry and cool winters day Sedbergh hosted an in form Barnard Castle who had won their last six matches in a row. The first twenty minutes proved to be a dull affair with both teams making mistakes and failing to capitalize on any field position.
The first score of the match went to Sedbergh after some great play and patience with the ball led to Freddie Renwick finishing off a superb team try. With ten minutes until half time Sedbergh raised their game and began to make huge inroads into the Barnard Castle Defence leading to Roddy Giles and Alex Moon both scoring key tries before the break.
In the 2nd half Sedbergh continued to put Barnard Castle under pressure by scoring four more unanswered tries to Charlie Moorby, Robbie Kent, Rob Stephenson and Angus Blair to finish the game and complete a good win for Sedbergh on Buskholme. The final score ended Sedbergh 48 Barnard Castle 0.
3RD BARNARD CASTLE 2ND WON 62-17
The score line might seem to show that we played well. We were functional and frankly a bit lack lustre. We talked before the game about dictating every aspect of it and making BC play the game we wanted to. Unfortunately a fairly well drilled but docile BC side pulled us to their level and we played a game that lacked intensity.

C1 BARNARD CASTLE WON 43-7
C2 BARNARD CASTLE WON 15-7
C1 COCKERMOUTH WON 57-0
2ND AUSTIN FRIARS 1ST WON 81-47
An extra-ordinary game saw the 2nd XV fall behind to more physical opponents for the 2nd week running but responded in quite magnificent style running in 13 tries against a very respectable Austin Friars 1st XV. In a reverse of the previous few performances, the back line saved the forwards blushes with a demonstration of skill at high speed that was too good for our opponents.
Austin Friars did manage to run in 7 tries of their own which raises significant questions about the defence with a trip to Millfield imminent but Hoggard, Lau & Webber repeatedly combined with great skill to allow Halsall to score a quite excellent hat-trick of tries. Adams & Lawry stood out from the rest of the pack with Thompson showing some real quality in a 15 minute cameo at the end.
4TH AUSTIN FRIARS 2ND WON 48
