Year 12 pupils Kate and Katie have had a busy Easter break, recently competing at the British Eventing U18 100cm competition at Northallerton Equestrian Centre.
After a full day of competition, the pair came away with very impressive results – Kate placing 2nd and Katie 4th in a field of 31.
Sedbergh School Equestrian Team Manager, Mrs Barker, said; “The Sedbergh Team are keeping everything crossed for Kate and Katie this season for their British Eventing. They are two incredibly talented riders who work hard and do so much for the Sedbergh Team too. They are representing Sedbergh at Royal Windsor in May and we are looking forward to fun times at National Schools in October too.
With an action-packed summer of competition for the pair, both Kate and Katie have big ambitions for this year.
“I would love to be selected to represent the northern region at the BE youth championships.” Said Katie.
“I want to progress with my young horse and to qualify and hopefully do well at the NSEA national finals.” Katie added.
Kate said; “I am hoping to compete at the Blair International Horse Show later on this year. However, my main aim is to qualify for the British Eventing U18 Championships competing for the North of England.”
