Rounders v Stonyhurst:
U15 Lost  16 ½ – 12
A beautiful day for a rounders match, however a lot of players missing for the U15 squad due to other fixtures. Georgia Turner stepped up to bowl and found her feet in the second innings.

Some great rounders score from Captain Eliza Nelstrop as well as Sarah Long. Sedbergh went into the second innings 2 rounders down however failed to get the Stonyhurst batters out which saw them push ahead by 4 1/2 rounders. Well done to Stuart and Bridle for stepping up to the U15 1st team. ATH

U14 Lost 12 ½ – 7
A tight first innings with Stonyhurst batting first and scoring 4 rounders. Sedbergh were slow to first base and with Stony’s tight fielding they got 3 Sedbergh players out consecutively.

Rebecca Hadfield hit the ball into space and scored 2 rounders for Sedbergh making the score 3 1/2 to 4. The second innings saw Stony make some excellent hits allowing them to double their score from the first innings. Sedbergh found it hard to hit the ball into space and with Stony’s quick fielding they were limited to first base and a low score.

Jnr B Won 20-11
Sedbergh batted first and despite tight fielding they managed to excel scoring an impressive 11 rounders in the first innings. Savannah Shewan put in a fine performance, being left handed unsettled the opposition and she scored 6 rounders.

Sedbergh took on board advice and communicated effectively, backing each other up where necessary. Fairclough, Slattery and Botham were all acrobatic catching several people out. Page clocked up numerous half rounders contributing significantly to the total score.

Peart and Thompson worked well together on first and second bases.  Stonyhurst fought back in the second innings and Sedbergh made a few unforced errors due to lapses in concentration. However, they had done enough to secure victory. HLR
