Hart retain the Griffiths Shield by defeating School House by 460 points to 300. Both Houses were in good form and answered almost the same number of starter questions correctly. It was the bonus questions which proved decisive as Hart’s well-balanced teamwork and the participation of all four players allowed them to score more heavily in this crucial aspect of the competition.

There was plenty of support for both Houses in the School Library and it was good to see other “neutral” members of the School on the mezzanine floor of the School Library. Hart have earned the right to challenge a team from the Common Room: this match will be arranged in the second half of term after the performance of “Oliver!”. We already look forward to next year’s Challenge.
