SEDBERGH CRICKET HALF TERM ROUND-UP

A busy first half term for Sedbergh cricketers saw the first XI win the first three rounds of the National T20 Schools competition, their next fixture being at home on Monday 6th June.

The U17s won their first found of the 17s National Schools competition and the National 17s 40 Overs cup. Unfortunately, the U15 side were knocked out in the second round of the Nationals by a very strong Trent College.

Individual successes this term include Harry Brook playing for Yorkshire 2nd XI and Yorkshire Academy, and Alex Simpson playing for Durham Academy.

This week Alex has been bowling against the England and Sri Lankan cricketers ahead of the second Test at the Riverside, Durham. Our second XI remain unbeaten.

Head Cricket Coach Martin Speight, said: “We are looking forward to a very busy second half of term as we play all of our school fixtures and Durham and Lancashire academies, and compete in three national schools cups.”
