SEDBERGH MASTERCHEF FINAL 2016

Scintillating dishes from around the World competed for the title of Sedbergh School Masterchef 2016. And at the end of an 18 course tasting dinner, Conner Scrivens and Ewan Page from Sedgwick House were worthy winners of this year’s title.

Their combination of cockle and mussel popcorn and Iberian tender pig cheek and chorizo followed by burnt cream Seville citrus peel scented with brandy and raspberries were judged to be outstanding by the twelve diners assembled at Birksholme.

Robertson entered a superb trio of handmade ravioli and Lupton impressed with Bajan black cake served with quenelle of rum granita.

Jamaica, America, China, Italy, Spain, Thailand and France were all represented by the talented team of chefs who took over the Headmaster’s kitchen.
