Sedbergh named in Top 100 Schools for Cricket

Sedbergh School has once again been named as one of the 100 Schools listed in The Cricketer Schools Guide 2020.

Following a fantastic year of cricket at Sedbergh, we are pleased to have been recognised by The Cricketer on the inclusion of this list.

Mr Dan Harrison, Headmaster, has said:
I am delighted that we have made the list of the top schools in The Cricketer magazine. This comes on the back of us hosting our first ever first-class match here in July, coming runner up in the National 20/20 U18s and winning the National 20/20 U15s in September. We are also producing more first-class players than ever before, and more boys and girls are playing cricket here at Sedbergh.”

The Cricketer magazine editor Simon Hughes said:
“The Schools Guide is, as ever, a fantastic publication that celebrates schools cricket and gives deserved praise to all those teachers and coaches who put in the hard work to develop our future club, county and international cricketers. Having watched many schools matches this summer I am pleased to report that the standard of cricket programmes and the level of passion for the game is as high as ever.

“Schools cricket has certainly benefitted from this incredible year for the sport.

“Congratulations to all of the schools included and I look forward to hearing about all of your future successes.”

The guide will be on sale from Friday 22nd November alongside the December issue of the magazine. A digital version of the guide will also be available on thecricketer.com from Friday 13th December.
