SEDBERGH RIFLE SHOOTERS DOMINATE AT COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS

Sedbergh’s rifle shooters were dominant at a sunny County of Lancaster Cadet Championships at Altcar Ranges with their team of four winning convincingly and their pairs coming first and second.
Harriet Bramwell, Charlie Cowen and Megan Kenyon finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd out of one hundred cadets. Patrick Smalley (Year 10) and Henry Nichols (Year 9) each made their début for Sedbergh in competitive full-bore shooting and rose to the challenge excellently coming second in the reserve pairs.
Master i/c Shooting, David Nuthall, said: “It was an exciting day overall but much greater challenges lie ahead as the team heads south in July for the schools meeting at Bisley.”
