Sedbergh School Announces New Daily Bus Service from Windermere in September 2024

Sedbergh School is delighted to announce the introduction of its first daily bus service from the Windermere area to Sedbergh Senior School, starting September 2024. This development comes in response to a significant increase in day enquiries and registrations from families in the Lake District.

As a testament to the school’s commitment to meeting the growing demand for places, Sedbergh School obtained a new licence from the Department for Education, paving way for additional day places.

The new daily bus route has been strategically designed to cater to the needs of families in the Windermere area, offering a convenient and reliable transportation option for pupils. This initiative aims to support families and facilitate those pupils who aspire to be day pupils.

Headmaster, Mr Dan Harrison expressed enthusiasm about the expansion, stating, “We are delighted to introduce this daily bus service, which reflects our dedication to providing accessible and enriching education for pupils in the Lake District. The increased demand for day placements is a testament to the outstanding opportunities Sedbergh School offers, and we look forward to welcoming more pupils into our community.”

Families interested in taking advantage of the new daily bus service or exploring day placement options at Sedbergh School are encouraged to contact the admissions office for further details, alternatively you can learn more at a future open day – https://www.sedberghschool.org/senior/arrange-a-visit/open-days
