Sedbergh School has been listed in the top 100 senior schools, in this year’s schools guide by The Cricketer.
It follows an exhaustive process which saw a huge number of schools submit entries to be included in the guide. All entries were judged against an extensive set of criteria, which included a compelling commitment to cricket in the curriculum, facilities, fixture programmes and coaching. Also taken into account was how schools kept the game alive during the pandemic, and how they look to ensure cricket remains a central part of school life.

We have worked tirelessly in our development of Cricket here at Sedbergh School, starting at our Prep School and through into our Senior School. We have experienced growth and development of those playing cricket, and especially in the numbers of girls playing cricket. Back in April this year, we featured in The Cricketer about the rise in girls cricket and the work that Director of Cricket, Martin Speight, and other staff have done to establish girls’ cricket at Sedbergh School – you can read that article HERE
