SEDBERGH SHOOTERS CELEBRATE SUCCESSES

Old Sedberghians and current pupils and staff joined last Friday to celebrate the school’s shooting achievements this year.

In July, Sedbergh pupils excelled at the National Rifle Association’s meeting for schools at Bisley, taking home the prestigious Ashburton Shield.

The Sedbergh School VIII won the Ashburton with a score of 761.47, triumphing over Victoria College Jersey by five points. Sedbergh also won the Schools’ Fours competition at the meeting, while Year 10 pupil Sarah Rorison won the Fox Quaich, an award for being the top shot on Ashburton Day.

Old Sedberghians also performed very well in the Veterans Match, with the A team finishing fifth in the competition.
