Sedbergh wins at Inspired Brilliance Awards
For the second year in a row, Sedbergh School has won multiple awards at the InspirED School Marketers Brilliance Awards. With a combined total of 5 awards, across both Sedbergh School and Casterton, Sedbergh Prep School, this eclipses the total of 4 which was won last year.
The awards recognise excellence in private and independent school marketing and communications exclusively. The Brilliance Awards are run by InspirED School Marketers, a website that provides “brilliant ideas and brain food” for private school administrators around the globe.
Sedbergh achieved recognition in both outsourced and in-house photography categories. The outsourced photography, provided by Affixxius, was produced as part of the 2019 award winning campaign ‘The Spirit of Sedbergh’. To compliment the launch of the school video, Affixxius also provided striking and bold imagery, featuring the Sedbergh wolf. One of the judges’ comments read: “It works by telling a strong story with deep tradition, serious education with just enough warmth and welcoming. I love it.”
Sedbergh’s in-house photography is produced by Mr Steve Cooling, former Head of Geography at Sedbergh and recently retired. Mr Cooling has been a part of the Sedbergh family for over 15 years and his dedication and service continues by way of his phenomenal photography. The judges praised Mr Cooling’s work saying, “I feel like I’m paging through National Geographic, with photos bathed in beautiful light and some skilled colour treatment.”
Sedgwick House received awards for their fun and inventive Christmas House videos, something that was unfortunately unable to happen in 2020 due to Covid-19 pandemic. The judges commented on the inclusivity of the videos, as well as the joy they bring the viewer.
