Welcome to our New Website

Sedbergh School has recently launched its brand-new website, with customer experience being at the heart of it all.

We felt that our website needed updating and freshening up and in doing so, accurately represent what we stand for as a School. Combining modern and latest technologies with our traditional values and identity which we hold close to our hearts.

We recognise the importance and necessity of ensuring our website is mobile compatible. With this in mind, we have maximised the website responsiveness on mobile and also restructured the website layout to make it as easy as possible for you to access the key information you need.

One of the biggest improvements we have made to the functionality of our website is the speed. We have worked hard to ensure that when you visit our website, you can find the information you need fast! This has been achieved not only through the intelligence behind the new website, but also in the structure and layout too. Using interactive data analysis, we have restructured our menu functionality. This involves relocating numerous webpages and making our more commonly visited areas of the website much more accessible.

As a part of launching our new website, it was our responsibility to perform a full audit of our previous website and gather user interaction information from numerous focus groups who all use our website for a variety of reasons. Something that kept coming back to us throughout this initial research was the capability to have a search function on the website. We are very happy to report we now have an intelligent search function built into the website. Providing users with the ability to search, in real time, what they are looking for on our website. This could be anything from our latest news story, term dates, job vacancies or uniform lists.

Alongside our latest news stories from around the School, we will also be introducing blog posts that will become a regular feature. Throughout these blog posts, we will be reaching out to our wider audience with a huge variety of topics and therefore introducing subject specialists from around the School to post guest blogs. We will explore interesting topics from the world of academia, sport, marketing, health and wellbeing and many more – stay tuned!

None of this project would have been possible without the brilliant feedback we have received along the way. As we strive to continuously update and improve our website, we would greatly appreciate any feedback on your experience of our website and suggestions on what we could do to improve it in the future. You can do so by using the contact form on our contact page.
