Sedbergh School are currently seeking a careful and responsible Driver to undertake the Lancaster to Casterton School Run.
In this position, you will pick up and drop off children along a predetermined route and maintain a safe and friendly atmosphere for all children in your care.
You will ensure our School vehicles are well-maintained, fuelled, cleaned and checked. You will have experience in dealing with children and it is essential that you have a full, clean driving licence with D1 status.
This will be a permanent, term time only post. Details about this vacancy are as follows:
- 25 hours per week with the possibility of additional Ad Hoc hours
- Working days: Monday to Friday – 6.30am – 9.00am & 4.30pm – 7.00pm

Sedbergh School and Sedbergh Casterton Prep School are seeking a highly professional, motivated and positive person to join their busy finance team as Management Accountant.
Reporting to and working with the Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will be responsible for ensuring that accurate management reporting is delivered on a timely basis for decision making purposes at all levels of the organisation, as well as assisting the Financial Controller in ensuring that a robust financial control environment is maintained, and processes are as efficient as possible. In addition, they will have direct responsibility for line managing two Accounts Officers, overseeing day-to-day communication and motivation as well as succession planning and performance management.

Apprenticeships
Sedbergh School is looking for an enthusiastic Catering Apprentice to join their team. You will be a paid member of staff whilst taking part in an accredited programme.
On a Sedbergh School apprenticeship you can gain all the skills and training you need for a successful and rewarding career whilst having the full support of the Catering manager and his team. The duties of the Apprentice Chef will be wide and varied and the key responsibilities are:

The Apprenticeship programme is delivered in the workplace and supplemented with training at an approved centre. You will be getting the practical skills and technical knowledge you need to complete a recognized qualification whilst having the full support of The Equine Director and other members of Equine Staff.
When you are in the School you will become one of us. The responsibilities for the Equine Apprentice within the department will include the following:
- To provide feed, water, bedding, and daily health checks;
- To completing records relating to routines and riding policy;

- To ensure the correct disposal of waste from the animal areas;
- To handle ponies and horses for farrier, vet and physio;
- To clean tack; keep equipment in good order;
- To exercise, ride and groom horses in all weather;
