virtual open day

wednesday 17th JUNE 2020

from 5.30PM

As we find ourselves in unprecedented times, Sedbergh Senior School is proactively trying to find ways it can operate as normally as possible.

An extensive home learning programme has been in place since 23rd March, covering all aspects of our wide-reaching curriculum for pupils from Year 9 to Year 13.  Additionally we are replacing normal Open Days with a Virtual experience:

We warmly invite you to join our next Virtual Open Evening on Wednesday 17th June 2020 from 17:30 British Summer Time.

Families are invited to Register for a virtual appointment with our Headmaster, Mr Dan Harrison and other key members of staff using the form opposite.

The format of the evening will be: a short introduction from the Headmaster followed by a live Question and Answer session with senior members of staff – this will then lead into families having the opportunity to have one to one meetings with the key members of staff they would like to meet.

Once your form has been submitted, our Admission team will be in touch to confirm specific timings with you.

We look forward to meeting you online soon.

If you are unable to attend our Virtual Open Evening on 17th June but would like to arrange to meet our team on a different day, please click here for our Virtual visit page.

TRAVELLING TO SEDBERGH

The small, safe yet vibrant market town of Sedbergh is situated between the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales, two of the most visited National Parks in Europe. Sedbergh benefits from excellent road and rail links, and two international airports are within easy distance.

By Road

Sedbergh School is under five miles from the M6, giving fast motorway access to Scotland, the Midlands and the South. From the North East the recommended route is either the A1 and A66 from Scotch Corner or, if living further south, the A65. The A684 through the Yorkshire Dales is beautiful, but very much slower.

BY AIR

Sedbergh is within a 90 minute drive of Manchester and Liverpool international airports, with Manchester Airport having domestic connections from London Heathrow and Gatwick and also serving European and Worldwide destinations.

BY RAIL

Sedbergh is 25 minutes from the Lake District town of Kendal, and just 35 minutes from the city of Lancaster. Oxenholme Lake District station can be reached by direct trains from London Euston within 2 hours 40 minutes and is a key stopping point on the West Coast Main Line.
